Community Guidelines
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Dose is a community of people who take espresso seriously. These guidelines keep it worth being part of. They apply to everything you post — tastings, photos, comments, messages, and pages you manage.
Keep it about the coffee
Post real tastings of shots you actually drank. Score honestly — a 71 you mean is worth more than a 95 you don’t. Critique the cup, not the person who made it.
Respect the people behind the bar
Baristas and café owners are part of this community. No harassment, threats, hate, or personal attacks — toward anyone. A harsh score with a fair reason is fine; cruelty is not.
Post honestly
No fake tastings, bought reviews, or scores traded for favors. If you have a stake in a café or roaster — you own it, work there, or they sponsor you — say so on the posts it touches. Businesses may not pose as customers.
Keep it legal and clean
No sexually explicit content, no content that exploits or endangers minors, nothing unlawful, and nothing that violates someone else’s privacy or rights. Post only what you have the right to share.
Reporting and enforcement
Every post, comment, and profile has a Report action, and you can block any account in Settings. We review reports and remove content that breaks these guidelines; repeated or serious violations end accounts. Filters also screen posts at submission.
